Brynjar W. Kolbergsrud work as solo trumpeter in the Oslo Philharmonic. As so many other Norwegian wind players, he started in the local school band. He is educated from the Norwegian Academy Mannes College of Music in New York and Manhattan School of Music. For 13 years he worked as solo trumpeter in both the Norrköping and Malmö Symphony Orchestras. Today he often performs with The Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, the Nordic Brass Ensemble and NyNorsk Brass Quintet. He teaches at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
