Concert | Borge Church
This concert also offers key things by Beethoven. Paul Lewis – one of the great Beethoven interpreters of our time – plays one of his most famous sonatas, the so-called Pathétique sonata.
It was not the composer’s own name, but a clever publisher tried to increase sales with a nickname that is forever associated with the work. It’s passionate music!
Schubert’s Fantasy in F minor for four-handed piano is one of the most popular in the genre, as a content-saturated little symphony with a wealth of beautiful melodies.
The concert has a sweeping, fresh ending with Beethoven’s youthful quintet for piano and winds.
