We had the pleasure and honor of having the Queen present at two concerts in 2017, and we saw that this gave us great attention and recognition. It was then very natural for us to invite the Queen to this year’s anniversary.

The Royal Castle have confirmed that the Queen will be present during the opening concert in Lofoten Kulturhus in Svolvær, Monday July 8th at 08:00pm. The opening concert is a celebration concert that presents the artists, all of whom are at a high international level.

– We are very pleased with this. Having the royal house represented is a great honor for all of us who organize the festival. It will inspire the artists, but also most people in the region a pride in the status the festival now has, says general manager Knut Kirkesæther.
